ADHD Lifespan Clinic Team
Dr Jaroslaw (Jarek) Hryniewicki
Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Jarek is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and the Founder and Director of Voix (youth mental health services) in South Perth. He is a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) and chairs the RANZCP’s Western Australian Faculty of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, where he contributes to state policy and to reviews of how public services approach the mental health of children and young people in WA.
Across a career spanning more than 25 years, Jarek has helped shape youth mental health services in Western Australia. He was involved in establishing juvenile justice mental health services in the State, worked extensively in public and private healthcare services, and was one of the three founders of a private inpatient service in Perth where he served as Medical Director for many years.
These days his energy goes into clinical practice with young people aged 12 to 25. He has been working with Generation Z and emerging Generation Alpha and supporting them through the turbulence of adolescence and young adulthood in a rapidly changing world.
ADHD and the broader spectrum of neurodiversity, including ASD, sit at the heart of his practice, and much of his effort goes into expanding support and care beyond the traditional medical model of mental health services.
Jarek has a particular interest in pharmacogenomics and genomic testing in mental health, the thoughtful use of technology in youth mental health services and finding fresh ways to engage young people in both their online and offline worlds.
Joining the ADHD Lifespan team has been a highlight, giving him an opportunity to connect a broader team and developing new shared models of collaborative care for people with ADHD across their lives and across primary care services.
