Children

Our lifespan focus means we support people with ADHD through all stages of their life

adhd lifespan children and parentsWe are able to assess and manage children with likely ADHD and related conditions from 7 years of age. Our Paediatricians, or Child & Adolescent Psychiatrists, together with our ADHD trained GPs will be involved in the assessment.

We provide a thorough assessment, collating all the relevant data from the family, school, and any other sources, together with a clinical interview. We will assess whether or not your child has ADHD. If so, we will look at the whole profile of the child, including the environment, and other complicating and co-existing factors, especially issues to do with parental ADHD.

Our management approach is to consider all evidence-based options, particularly school and behavioural management, with the consideration of medical management judiciously and as jointly considered appropriate and necessary.
